Rumors of Battlefield 4’s Second Assault expansion pack launching on other platforms late February may ring true after all.
Recently, a DICE developer on Battlelog stated that Battlefield players can expect Second Assault to launch on the PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 3 soon, once the latest batch of patches hit their respective platforms.
“This update is mainly designed to prepare the game for the upcoming release of the expansion pack Battlefield 4 Second Assault. We will announce the release date for this expansion pack later.”
To add to this, it appears that PC Premium players can get a head start by toying around with the new Second Assault weapons; the AS-VAL, DAO-12, F2000, Gol Magnum, and M60, in private servers.
Second Assault is set to bring four fan-favorite Battlefield 3 maps re-imagined in the Frostbite 3 engine, alongside five new weapons for $14.99 USD. Premium members get expansion at no extra charge.
