Gameloft has revealed the first paid Disney Dreamlight Valley expansion, and it’s called “A Rift in Time” and is due for release next month.

Revealed during the Dreamlight Valley Showcase, A Rift in Time will be launching on December 5, serving as the game’s first paid expansion. It’ll feature an all-new story, told in three acts, and take players across three new biomes.

Act 1 will be available at launch, and players can expect to meet fan-favorite characters, such as Gaston, Rapunzel, and EVE.

“On their adventures across Eternity Isle, players will discover the new time-manipulating Royal Hourglass tool, meet new animal companions, and unveil Ancient Machines, which will give players the ability to automate some of their daily tasks. Also new to the expansion is a new in-game board game called Scramblecoin. In this experience, players will play against Disney and Pixar villagers and collect character-inspired figurines each with their own unique powers. Collect the most coins to win, increase character friendship, and unlock better figurines!”

But if you aren’t quite ready to jump into paid content, we do have some good news for you as Update 8, which is free for all players, will also be released on December 5. This update, dubbed “The Pumpkin King Returns” will feature our favorite Halloween slash Christmas character from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, Jack Skellington. The update will also introduce a new Star Path, as well as a new feature that allows up to 4 players to visit each other valleys.

More detailed will be revealed about the expansion and free title update as we inch closer to that December launch.
