Dota 2 Updates Now Set to Go Out Every Two Weeks!

While Dota 2 players are used to getting big patches spread out over the course of 12 months, that will be changing very, very soon.

Over on Twitter, Dota creator IceFrog has announced that they’re shaking up the Dota 2 updates, and how they’re rolled out. The dev team will now release small patches every two weeks on Thursdays for the next six months!

If you can’ts see the tweets, it reads:

We want to try taking a different approach to how gameplay patches are released. Instead of big patches a couple of times a year, we’ll be releasing small patches every 2 weeks on Thursdays. We’ll be trying this out for about six months and then reevaluating.

To make it easier to keep track of changes, we’ll also be releasing a new in-game feature to notify you of any recent changes to heroes in your match.

Hopefully, this helps hero balancing and means players get nerfs and buffs at a steadier pace.

Do you like this approach or should Valve stick to their usual schedule?
