Dragon’s Dogma 2 Announced 10 Years Later

Dragon’s Dogma is a cult-classic fantasy RPG that was originally released in 2012 by Capcom. It blended an open-world high fantasy world with unique action-focused combat inspired by games like the Street Fighter series. Today, a stream was held to celebrate the game’s 10-year anniversary, hosted by the game’s creator, Hideaki Itsuno. At the end of the stream, Itsuno announced that Dragon’s Dogma 2 has begun development.

Fans of the first Dragon’s Dogma have been very vocal about their hopes for a Dragon’s Dogma 2, but its announcement still comes as a surprise since it is so long after the original’s release, especially after the game’s absence at Capcom’s recent live stream.

Despite the announcement, Capcom has not released any other information about the game apart from its official logo. It would have been great to see the game in action or even a screenshot, but fans will just have to wait to see how Dragon’s Dogma’s combat and innovative pawn system may be evolved in the sequel. Hopefully, fans will get some more news of Dragon’s Dogma 2 soon, but even a confirmation of it entering development is undeniably exciting.
