DualSense Edge Battery Life Will Be “Moderately Shorter” Than Original DualSense

The DualSense Edge is nearly here, and ahead of its global launch this January, we got a little more information in terms of one of the device’s most important features — the DualSense Edge’s battery life.

In a hands-on review from The Verge, Sony mentioned that the DualSense Edge will feature a “moderately shorter” battery life than the original DualSense.

The DualSense Edge wireless controller’s operating time is moderately shorter than the original DualSense wireless controller because we’ve included many more features within the same form factor and ergonomic design as the original DualSense controller. We wanted to strike a good balance between wireless operating time and delivering robust, high-performance features.

With the controller sporting features such as swappable joysticks, dedicated function keys, and extra triggers behind the controller, it’s no surprise that the battery life isn’t nearly as good as the OG DualSense.

The DualSense Edge will be available on January 26, and you can check out the full list of contents that comes with your purchase here.
