EVO 2021 Schedule and Tournament Lineup Revealed

EVO 2021

It’s almost time to celebrate the world of fighting games as players from around the world prepare to converge, as the EVO 2021 schedule and tournament lineup has been revealed — with registration open to those willing to participate from the fighting game community!

As tweeted out by the official EVO team, here’s the announcement of the schedule, lineup, and registration.

Here’s the overview and details of the returning Evolution Championship Series via the official website of the event.

The Evolution Championship Series (Evo for short) represents the largest and longest-running fighting game tournaments in the world. Evo brings together the best of the best from around the world in a dazzling exhibition of skill and hype competition, as players and fans gather to witness the action and crown a champion. Our tournaments are about more than just winning. Evo is open to anyone, offering unique opportunities to meet people from different countries and different walks of life who share the same passion. Established champions face off against unknown newcomers, and new rivals meet up and become old friends.

The tournaments will include Tekken 7, Street Fighter V: Champion Edition, Guilty Gear Strive, and Mortal Kombat 11: Ultimate (NA, LATAM, and Europe only) and will take place over Friday to Saturday on the weekends of August 6-8th and August 13-15th. We look forward to featuring some of the best FGC talent the world has to offer and hope you’ll join us!

EVO was acquired by Sony and RTS a few months ago, and new events have been incorporated such as the EVO Community Series’ PlayStation 4 Tournaments — which will be held in July and feature some great titles from the genre for players to compete in.

You can register for EVO 2021 and find out more info via their Smash.gg page.
