Announced during PlayStation’s State of Play event to close the show, Square Enix has released an official keyart, along with an FAQ for Final Fantasy 7 Intergrade.

First up is an official keyart provided by Square Enix (via press release) for Final Fantasy 7 Intergradd’s Yuffie Episode.

Now moving on, Square Enix has also officially launched the Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade website, which has revealed an official FAQ! In it, Sqaure Enix answers all the questions players might have, including the confirmation that the Yuffie Episode is indeed exclusive to the PS5 platform.

Is the new Yuffie Episode available on the PlayStation 4?

The new Yuffie Episode is optimised for PlayStation 5, so it is not available on PlayStation 4.

What are the enhancements and new system and gameplay additions in FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE?

FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE includes a wealth of graphical, gameplay and system enhancements:

  • Immerse yourself in the city of Midgar like never before, with improved textures, lighting, and background environments   
  • Players can switch between two game modes:       
    • “Graphics Mode” prioritises 4K high-resolution graphics   
    • “Performance Mode” prioritises smooth action at 60 frames per second

How do I access the new episode featuring Yuffie?

After downloading the content to your system, the new episode featuring Yuffie is playable immediately through the PlayStation 5 version of FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE title menu. For new players of FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE it is recommended to play the main campaign first, although not required.

Will my save file for FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE work with FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE?

Yes. You can carry over save data from PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5.

An update patch which supports carrying over PlayStation 4 save data will be available before the PlayStation 5 version of FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE is released.

After the patch has been applied, an option will appear on the title menu for the PlayStation 4 version to carry over your save data.

An internet connection is required to carry over save data to PlayStation 5. However, if you have purchased FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE (physical edition) for PlayStation 4, and own the PlayStation 5 digital edition (the model without a disc drive) you are not eligible to download the PS5 enhancement upgrade but can still transfer your save data should you purchase FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE digitally.

FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE will be available as a physical and digital Standard Edition, and as a Digital Deluxe Edition from the PlayStation Store.

What is included in the Digital Deluxe Edition of FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE?

The Digital Deluxe Edition of FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE comes with a digital mini soundtrack featuring songs, such as “Descendant of Shinobi”, and a digital artbook which includes concept art and character sheets. 

Last, you may be wondering how much the Yuffier Episode will cost. For first time buyers and plan on buying the PS5 version, it will cost you a total of $70, which includes Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergade and the Yuffie Episode. As for those who are using the free upgrade option, the press release sent out confirmed that you will need to purchase the Yuffie Episode separately, though provided no price.

While not a 1:1 conversion, the Japanese version of the FF7 Intergrade website has confirmed prices for that region. Unlike North America and Europe, PS4 players in Japan will need to pay 100 (about $1) yen in order to upgrade to the PS5 version. As for the Yuffie Episode this will cost 2,178 Yen, or roughly $20-$21 when converted to USD.

Again, this isn’t always a 1:1 translation when it comes to currency conversions. We’ve reached out to Square Enix for an official comment regarding the price, and will be sure to update this post if we hear anything from them.

Why is this on Multiplayer First? FFVII Remake isn’t a crappy online game filled with awful microtransactions…like Avengers.

We’ve changed the site philosophy a bit over the last 2 years, as some users have suggested and even staffers, the site is called “Multiplayer FIRST”, and NOT “Multiplayer Only”
Our big focus will always be multiplayer games, but from time to time we will post single-player game news and even reviews
