Epic Games is turning things up a notch with the official release of Fortnite Zero Build, a fast-paced iteration of their highly popular battle royale. Unlike regular Fortnite, this iteration has no building whatsoever, forcing players to focus more on their gunplay and traversal skills. Check out the full rundown on this new breed of Fortnite below.

First up is the official trailer for Fortnite Zero Build:

Zero Build is a pure test of weapon, item, and traversal ability. Zero Build can be found in the Discover page as Solo, Duos, Trios, and Squads playlists. (Access the Discover page by clicking on the “CHANGE” button above “PLAY!” in the Lobby.)

Without building, all players have the recharging Overshield as your first line of defense in Zero Build. Zip up Ascenders to access Blimps or use Mantling to get the high-ground over your opponents. Don’t forget to Sprint between cover on your way to a Victory Royale!

If you ever wanted to play Fortnite but don’t want to sit through other players camping in their haphazardly built structures, then this mode might be up your alley! It will be interesting to see how popular this mode will be across the playerbase, and if it will successfully capture the audience that wants to play battle royales that focus more on shooting rather than building.

Fortnite Zero Build is now available to play across all platforms.
