Genshin Impact Next Update 3.4 Features the Lantern Rite Festival’s Return and Yaoyao in New Trailer

Genshin Impact next update 3.4, titled “The Exquisite Night Chimes,” just got a trailer, and it’s set for January 18. The event will reintroduce the yearly Lantern Rite event as well as a new playable Dendro character in Yaoyao.

As with every other Genshin update, miHoYo released a trailer ahead of the event. Check it out:

The trailer showcases a music festival held during the Lantern Rite event, with Hu Tao and Xinyan rocking it out on stage. We also get a glimpse of Yaoyao’s talents as well as her attack animations with a polearm. There’s also a new area to explore in Sumeru, and the popular Dendro sword user Alhaitham will finally be playable.

Highlights of Version 3.4 “The Exquisite Night Chimes”:

– Seasonal events and games including a music festival and a traditional Liyue performance to celebrate Teyvat’s New Year.
– New area “Desert of Hadramaveth” amid sandstorms bringing more adventures and new World Quests.
– New five-star Dendro swordsman Alhaitham and four-star Dendro polearm user Yaoyao.
– New limited-time mode for the card game
– Free-to-claim rewards including a total of 13 Intertwined Fates, Lisa’s new outfit, and a 4-star Liyue character upon completion of certain events.
– Kamisato Ayaka’s new outfit available in store with a limited-time discount.

Genshin Impact is currently available on PS4, PS5, PC, Andriod, and iOS devices.
