Want to know more about the upcoming The Last of Us TV series this coming January 15? HBO Max has just released a brief video that includes snippets of behind-the-scenes footage from the TV show.

It’s a very brief showcase of BTS footage, but it gives us an idea of just how much work went into producing the show. Have a look:

In the video, series writer, creator, and producer Craig Mazin briefly talks about the adaptation. “When you’re adapting something like a video game, changes have to be done smartly. We are telling more. There is so much in between,” he states. “It is going to be beautiful, terrifying, but ultimately, it’s enlightening.”

Since its official teaser trailer back in September, we’ve learned a few things from the show’s cast and crew. Troy Baker, who originally played Joel in the video games, claimed that Pedro Pascal’s acting was so good that he wanted to redo his own performance. Naughty Dog co-president and writer Neil Druckmann also hinted at the series covering The Last of Us Part 2 in the event of a second season.

With a week and a half until the show finally premieres on HBO Max, we’ll have to see if the series lives up to the hype.
