You may be asking, why the Alps in particular? Well, as noted by the developers, the infamous snowy mountains are the real-life inspiration for the Dragonspine in Genshin Impact. It would only make sense that miHoYo pays a tribute to its huge fanbase as well as one of the most extensive mountain ranges in Europe.
The Alps event highlights for Genshin Impact are as follows:
Europe’s highest ski resort Val Thorens is now Genshin Impact-themed to celebrate Dragonspine’s first anniversary
- Web event “Enchanting Journey of Snow and Stars” kicks off today. Join here: https://mhy.link/b774OCA6.
- In the web event, players can help light up a waypoint placed in the Alps, and make a wish with chances to send them atop a Tree of Wishes in the Alps
- A grand Alps Waypoint Lighting Ceremony to be broadcast worldwide in mid-January on Twitch, YouTube and VK
The series of events will not only deliver great rewards and wonderful moments but will also secure the big lighting ceremony, which will be broadcasting online once the tournament is completed.
