GTA 6 Cutscenes Leaks and It’s Said to Be From a 2025 Build and Seems to Even Take a Jab at Rockstar

Following yesterday’s massive Grand Theft Auto 6 leak that gave us our first look at gameplay, it seems things are far from being over.

This time, the hacker group Cyberleek has uploaded gameplay footage with cutscenes, and it doesn’t seem like it’s ending there, as they are also releasing new gameplay and even story elements too.

If the footage appears somewhat unpolished in some areas, it’s because it’s reportedly from an old build, which means gamers should see a far better version come November.

However, new leaks have started surfacing that matter regardless if it’s an old build or not, since it touches on the game’s story and cutscenes,

GTA 6 Cutscenes Are Now Being Leaked Too, Teasing Rockstar With a Dialogue

The latest gameplay footage shows protagonist Jason walking around the city, but it also features cutscenes, with the end of the clip acting as a cheeky jab at Rockstar. In it, Jason and his friend Cal Hampton are having a conversation on a boat when Cal drops the line, “They don’t know nothin’ about me, man. I use a VPN!”, clearly aimed at Rockstar’s efforts to shut down recent leaks.

This new clip reveals quite a few interesting interaction mechanics, showing prompts like “Clone key” and “Smash window” when approaching vehicles, along with a re-confirmation of the vehicle fuel levels seen on the previous leaks. When authorities arrive at the crime scene, players have contextual options to “Tag” or surrender when targeting an officer.

Combat and customization details also stand out, as Jason is seen wielding a taser, executing Red Dead Redemption 2-style slow-motion takedowns, and even picking up a cap off the ground to wear backwards.

Visually, the build highlights some impressive ray-tracing implementation, featuring RT streetlights at night, real-time car window reflections, and realistic global illumination. As stated by known insider NateTheHate on Resetera, all of the footage seen here would originate from a build “over a year old”, so it’s quite interesting to see the amount of progress achieved by then.

Now, the last and most recent clip lets us take a look at the use of items, with an updated inventory system featuring eight dedicated weapon slots alongside two designated healing item slots for “Zombix” pills and EpiPens, which are stored on a dedicated item wheel entirely separate from the weapon wheel. Even though Zombix pills manage health recovery, overindulging results in a diminishing effect.

Melee combat gets a massive overhaul with three distinct blade types, such as switchblades, knives, and hunting knives. Close melee fights against these leave lasting marks on Jason, resulting in visible arm injuries from knife cuts.

The sandbox depth extends to quirky environmental interactions: standing too close to homeless junkies will provoke them into fights, ducks appear to tragically drop dead after colliding with a bridge, and running with wet shoes triggers a distinct squishy audio effect. Fast-food joints are also officially back in the world.

Based on what’s out there, the leaker(s) are not done yet, and we’re a week away from Take-Two officially unveiling something.

Based on our own sources, GTA 6 was shown off to media and content creators, though it was a hands-off event. Expect the embargo for this to be lifted on August 27 when the Netflix premiere airs.
