We are now just a few months away from the release of GTA 6. The game is expected to launch in November, and many people see it as one of the biggest releases not just of the year, but of the decade.

There is huge attention around it, with millions of players waiting, other companies trying to avoid releasing games at the same time, and even the CEO of Take-Two feeling the pressure.

GTA 6 Pressure Is “Multiplied By a Billion” Compared to Other Releases

In an interview with Variety, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick explained his feelings about the launch. He said, “I run so scared with regard to all of our releases.” However, in the case of GTA 6, “just multiply it by a billion this time around.”

Even with that fear, he believes it is something important. He explained that being worried helps you stay focused and do better work. “I think the minute you stop running scared, you better get a different job if you’re in the entertainment business.” He also added that if you think you have already succeeded too early, you are always wrong.

The situation is not simple because he is managing what could be one of the biggest releases in years, not just in gaming but in all entertainment, while also dealing with the pressure of following GTA V, which sold over 200 million copies and became the second best-selling game of all time.

GTA 6 is currently scheduled to release on November 19 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, while a PC version has not been announced yet.

In other news, Take-Two confirms GTA 6 will not use generative AI, announces a physical release, and says the official marketing campaign begins in Summer 2026.
