Halo: Campaign Evolved content complete

With Master Chief’s 25th anniversary approaching, fans are eager to celebrate it with Halo: Campaign Evolved, an Unreal Engine 5 remake of the 2001 original Xbox classic.

The game is also expected to release on PS5, marking the first time a main Halo title from Microsoft will launch on Sony’s console. Although the remake still has no official release date, it may be closer than many expected.

Halo: Campaign Evolved Reportedly Finished

Insider Rebs Gaming, known for sharing information about the Halo series, has commented on one of the strongest rumors from recent days: the game could be heading for a shadow drop launch.

The Xbox Games Showcase + Gears of War: E-Day event takes place on Sunday, June 7, and there is strong speculation that Halo: Campaign Evolved will appear there. The big question is whether it could become available on the same day.

Part of this rumor comes from the recent Xbox and Fanta collaboration, where one of the cans and bottles features Master Chief. It includes cosmetic armor content, and the promotion ends this summer. This detail has led some to believe the game could launch in June as a shadow drop, although for now it is still only speculation.

Rebs Gaming has also shared more interesting details, stating that the game is already “content complete,” at least in terms of its campaign. As this remake does not include an online multiplayer mode, the remaining work is believed to be limited to final polishing, with the title reportedly already playable from start to finish.

Another detail concerns Master Chief’s Mark V armor customization. According to Rebs Gaming, the game will not include a store, meaning cosmetics for the Spartan armor will be unlocked through gameplay, likely by completing missions on higher difficulty levels.

Nonetheless, nothing has been officially confirmed, so this should be taken with a pinch of salt. As more news and rumors emerge, we’ll be sure to keep you updated here at MP1st.
