Horizon Franchise Sales Now at 32.7 Million, Forbidden West Sold Through 8.4M Units; Aloy’s Adventure “Will Continue”

Horizon Franchise Sales

Chalk Guerrilla Games’ Horizon franchise as another heavy hitter in the PlayStation stable, as the studio has announced that the total Horizon franchise sales have now hit 32.7 million units, with Horizon Forbidden West contributing a sell through (meaning sold to consumers) of 8.4 million units.

The announcement was made in part of a look at Guerrilla’s 20th anniversary.

In addition to the franchise sales, Guerrilla also confirmed that Aloy’s adventure “will continue,” which doesn’t come as a surprise given the studio confirmed the new Horizon game’s existence in an announcement that studio director Angie Smets is moving from Guerrilla to PlayStation Studios.

As for what’s next for the franchise, leaked footage of the in-development multiplayer game has surfaced early this year. Not only that, but we also broke the story on how Sony is currently developing a Horizon remaster/remake.
