Indiana Jones and The Great Circle Will Run at 60fps on Xbox Series Consoles
Machine Games’ Indiana Jones and The Great Circle looks to be shaping up to be quite the adventure, and thanks to some new information, it also looks like it’ll be a smooth one as the title has been confirmed to run at 60 frames-per-second (fps) on the Xbox Series.
Indiana Jones and The Great Circle Will Look and Run Great on Consoles
As confirmed by the game’s Creative Director Axel Torvenius in a recent interview with Windows Central, players who plan on playing on either the Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S will be happy to know that Indiana Jones and The Great Circle will run at 60fps on both systems.
“It might be that we will release even more details in terms of specifics, technical details, as we get closer to launch, once we see all the telemetry on performance. But what I can tell you is that the ambition is that the game runs at 60 FPS on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, and that, you know, it shouldn’t be compromised in the visuals or the experience of the product. It should feel cohesive, running smoothly at 60 on both.”
Considering the trend for a lot of recent major Xbox first-party console exclusives have been capping the frames at 30, it’s fantastic news to see that one of their biggest license IP will be playable at a framerate many prefer to play in. Based on the many early media hands-on previews, it does appear that the game is running buttery smooth too, though of course, only time will truly tell if that ends up being the case come its release.
Indiana Jones and The Great Circle will launch on the Xbox Series X|S and PC this December 9, with the PS5 version slated for Spring of 2025.
