It seems like inFAMOUS: Second Son may be getting some multiplayer, as suggested in the official PlayStation 4 Brochure that was handed out at this year’s E3.
While details are a bit scarce at the moment, the brochure obtained by VideoGamer contained various titles that we coming to the PS4 and with titles like Knack, the brochure confirmed that it would be a single-player game. However upon inspecting inFAMOUS: Second Son, the details stated that the single player would one player and then listed an online count of “online players TBC,” which wasn’t shown for other PS4 titles that were only single-player.
It wouldn’t be surprising if this ended up being true, as inFAMOUS 2 did try to push for some online interactions as it had a new feature called “User-Generated-Content” that allowed players to create their own missions and story and share it accross the board with other inFAMOUS 2 owners. It wasn’t exactly multiplayer, but the online interaction was there and inFAMOUS does seem like a title that could do possibly well with a super hero/villain MMO style multiplayer.
For those that don’t know what inFAMOUS: Second Son is, here’s the official trailer and gameplay reveal.
