Yes, we are a gaming site, but given how big social media is to games and gamers, we think it’s our duty to inform everyone that Instagram and Facebook down posts are surfacing, with the company confirming the outages.

Over on Twitter, the official Facebook Twitter account announced that they are looking into the issue:

We’re aware that some people are having trouble accessing Facebook app. We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible, and we apologize for any inconvenience.

It’s unknown yet what’s causing the issues, and checking Instagram will get a server error message, while accessing Facebook will show that something “went wrong”

This downtime comes hot at the heels of the 60 Minutes interview with whistleblower Frances Haugen, which is honestly a bit concerning.
