Kojima: Kojima Productions Will “Boldly Go Where We Have Never Gone Before;” Teases “Surprises” for 2023

Kojima Productions

It looks like legendary game creator Hideo Kojima has quite a few dishes cooking! Kojima recently revealed that he and his studio, Kojima Productions, will be working on quite a few projects next year.

In a recent podcast episode of Hideo Kojima’s Brain Structure, he elaborates on what he’ll be working on in 2023.

2023 will be busier than 2022, so… I don’t wanna think about it! There’s DS2, and another game, and also a movie in the works. And I’ve had offers to collaborate with various different creators. I can’t do them all, but… I want to do as many as I can before I die, so I’ll spend next year thinking about them.

The “various different creators” bit is worth noting, as this may hint at some other works that Kojima will be a part of that we don’t know about just yet. He also talks about how he and Kojima Productions will be moving forward after the studio’s recent event year anniversary.

This year is the seventh anniversary of our studio, and we’ve moved office and expanded. Kojima Productions will boldly go where we have never gone before. We’ll be entering our second phase, so I’m really looking forward to next year. We have some surprises in store.

Kojima’s mention of “surprises in store” is interesting, as we may get more than just the standard trailers and teasers for the upcoming game Death Stranding 2.

While we don’t know if any of Kojima’s projects will be launched in 2023, it looks like he and his crew have quite the task ahead of them.
