Yesterday, during the PlayStation Showcase, after months of rumors, Konami officially announced the Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake alongside the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1 featuring MGS 1/2/3. The master collection allows the fans to play the titles (MGS 1, MGS 2, and MGS 3) “as they were, as first released on the latest platforms.” Though, it seems like Konami will be adding more titles to the MGS Master Collection.

Upon looking closely, Konami’s website teases “stay tuned for more information,” with a “?” logo under the list of games coming to the Master Collection.
It seems like Konami has plans to launch more titles from the series for the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection, possibly including MGS 4 or Metal Gear Rising. However, nothing has been confirmed or announced regarding that as of yet.
The first volume of the Metal Gear Solid Collection, which consists of MGS, MGS 2, and MGS 3 comes out in Autumn 2023 for “the latest platforms,” whereas the MGS 3 remake will be coming to the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC at an unannounced date.
