Marathon Down for Maintenance on July 21, Update 1.1.5 Roll Out

Bungie has taken the Marathon servers down on July 21, and this is to bring a new title update on all platforms.

Players should expect the extraction shooter to be down for a few hours before the patch is available for download.

Marathon Down on July 21 and Here’s How Long

Tuesday, July 21, 2026 — Scheduled Maintenance for Update 1.1.5

8:00 AM PDT	UTC-7	Marathon will undergo maintenance. Sign-on will be unavailable. Players actively in runs will be able to complete them.
8:15 AM PDT	UTC-7	Marathon will begin being brought offline for expected maintenance. Players will start being removed from activities.
9:00 AM PDT	UTC-7	The latest Marathon update is expected to become available across all platforms and regions.
10:00 AM PDT	UTC-7	Players are expected to be able to log back into Marathon.* Players logging into the game may be placed in a queue and may experience sign-on issues as background maintenance is still ongoing.
11:00 AM PDT	UTC-7	Marathon maintenance is expected to conclude. Console players who encounter issues updating should restart their console and try downloading the update. Players who observe issues should report to the Marathon Help Forum.

There is a chance the maintenance is extended, and if that ever happens, we’ll update the article with the info. Once the patch notes are out, we’ll provide a link to it within the article, so sit tight.
