The Blood of Dawnwalker Physical Release Will Contain the Full Game on Disc
In case you missed the news, The Blood of Dawnwalker has officially gone gold! This means the game is in a fully playable state and ready to ship out. That said, the release date is still holding firm for this September, but this news does mean the likelihood of a delay is nearly zero. Despite going gold, the team at Rebeal Wolves is still hard at work polishing and optimizing the game, with a likely day-one update available for players.
But if you happen to have slow internet or plan on having some internet downtime, the good news is that the game will fully launch on the physical disc. It seems like an odd thing to celebrate, but if recent releases such as Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced and Halo are any indication of the remaining years of physical releases, it means more and more publishers will start going the route of requiring a download for your physical games.
The Blood of Dawnwalker Entire Game Will be Available on Disc

The news comes from Eurogamer, who confirmed with Bandai Namco that the full game data is, in fact, on the disc. They also confirmed a day-one update, which they recommend players download. But even so, it sounds like the game will be fully playable offline.
With PlayStation announcing that they’re ceasing disc production for physical games in 2028, opting for a digital future, the future of physical media in gaming ultimately now has an end date. What’s worse is that some of the biggest games that currently launch with a disc are essentially just storing a launcher, with players required to download the entire game rather than copy it from a disc.
For those collectors out there, knowing that you are actually getting everything on day one, on your disc, just makes owning the disc even more special.
