The Blood of Dawnwalker Won’t Use Denuvo; “Secret Quests” Confirmed but Don’t Expect Mini Games
While The Blood of Dawnwalker is being crafted by former CD Projekt RED developers, that doesn’t mean developer Rebel Wolves will take everything from the Witcher franchise to their new open-world RPG.
One thing the developers confirmed won’t be in Blood of Dawnwalker that the Witcher franchise is known for, are mini games.
This and other info were shared by the developers during a recent Instagram Q&A.
The Blood of Dawnwalker Secret Quests Will Feature Hidden Treasure, Monster Hunts and More
During the Instagram Q&A, fans asked whether The Blood of Dawnwalker would feature mini games, and the developers answered plainly that “no, there are no mini games,” putting that notion to rest. Sorry, Gwent fans, Dawnwalker will feature no such thing.
Another question asked was whether there would be hidden quests, secrets, and the like scattered around the open world for players to discover. Rebel Wolves responded that there are “hidden treasures, monster nests, ancient ruins, bandit camps…and more!”
Hopefully, this means there’ll be a lot of Easter eggs and secrets that will bump up the replayability factor a fair bit.
Finally, the devs also shared something that PC players will be happy to hear: and that there’s no Denuvo implementation at all. When asked if the game will use Denuvo, the developers replied with an emphatic “no.” Given how the anti-piracy tool is usually the culprit for eating up a lot of memory when games are running, this is good news.
So far, The Blood of Dawnwalker seems to be shaping up to tbe ideal action-RPG new IP. Let’s hope it manages to meet expectations.
In related news, Rebel Wolves confirmed the game will feature multiple epilogues, which will then carry over to the planned sequels. The devs have also planned several smaller, free DLCs for players post-release.
The Blood of Dawnwalker will be released on September 3 on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
