Following the reveal of Marvel Rivals last month, NetEase and Marvel Games announced that a beta is set to kick off this May on PC. For those interested, the Marvel Rivals closed alpha sign-ups are now live!
Players can throw their hat here to get a chance to be one of the participants. Remember: entering your details is not a guarantee that you’ll be selected. The registration form asks players which PvP shooter do they most play, what genres they prefer as well.
In addition to that, a new map called “Yggsgard” has been revealed as well, and based on the wording, this is the first of many stage reveals.
After the Timestream Entanglement, Asgard, the Golden Realm, fused with Yggdrasill, the World Tree that connects all of the Ten Realms. All of its gleaming glory now flourishes with otherworldly flora.
However, beneath this branch-knitted veil, Loki, the cunning god of mischief, has used his tricks and schemes, to seize control and build his new kingdom: Yggsgard.
If you haven’t heard of Marvel Rivals until today, then just think of it as Overwatch and the Marvel Universe colliding and birthing a PvP hero shooter with Marvel characters. Sounds exciting, right? Hopefully, the gameplay can match the premise.

Marvel Rivals has no firm release date just yet and is only confirmed for PC, though NetEase mentioned that they are looking at “other platforms” but removed that wording from their FAQ.
