Earlier today, NetEase Games along with Marvel Games announced Marvel Rivals, a free-to-play team-based, PvP shooter (think: Overwatch with Marvel characters) that’s set to be available in closed beta in May for PC.  While we got to see gameplay and even a confirmation of the first 18 characters that’ll be available, NetEase made no mention of other platforms for the game aside from PC.

Now, for those wondering whether Marvel Rivals will be releasing on consoles, we can’t answer that for now. Oddly enough, earlier today, right as the game got announced, NetEase ran an FAQ on the game’s official Discord channel, and in it, the studio mentioned how they were “actively exploring” potential releases on “other platforms.” While this should be good news for console players, NetEase has since deleted that part of the FAQ and replaced it with another answer.

Does this mean there is no chance for a console version of Marvel Rivals? I sure hope not. But then again, NetEase games’ are almost-always mobile and PC onluy, so don’t be surprised if that’s the case for this one too.
