Following yesterday’s big Marvel’s Avengers patch that saw the introduction of Kate Bishop into the roster, Crystal Dynamics has released the Marvel’s Avengers update 1.18 December 9 patch, which we assume is for bug fixes and the like.

Update: Crystal Dynamics has finally released the official changelog! It’s a short one too!
Patch V1.4.0a was published earlier today and included three fixes:

Crystal Dynamics has not yet commented on today’s update, here’s what the Steam page of the game states as new for today:
09-12-2020 – Updated to build V1.4.0.17 with the following changes:
- High Contrast Mode: Available in the settings menu!
- Minor stability fixes.
In addition to that, there was an issue with Kate Bishop and Mega Hive missions that prevented exotic gear to be rewarded.
Due to an issue with Mega Hives not rewarding Exotic gear when playing as Kate Bishop, we advise playing a Hero other than Kate if you plan to complete the Mega Hive this week before we fix this bug in the next patch. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Due to an issue with Mega Hives not rewarding Exotic gear when playing as Kate Bishop, we advise playing a Hero other than Kate if you plan to complete the Mega Hive this week before we fix this bug in the next patch. We apologize for the inconvenience.
- Potential crash during Quinjet loading on Xbox One and Xbox One S consoles after playing repeated missions as Kate Bishop. We are already working on a fix to be implemented in the near future.
- Attempting to purchase Kate’s Challenge Card without the necessary Credits brings up an error message. Players will need to click on the Credit icon to purchase the Credits they need.
- Choosing to directly do Kate’s Operation rather than starting it from Avengers Initiative puts players in a state where they cannot interact with vendors aboard the helicarrier. This can be fixed by launching Avengers Initiative after completing Kate’s HARM Training.
