Max Payne Remake on Unreal Engine 5: Fans Created a Spectacular-Looking Showcase

Max Payne Remake

Max Payne fans have taken it upon themselves to showcase how spectacular the game’s remake could look like, using Unreal Engine 5. The concept video is only two-minutes long, but it is already enough to leave you wanting more.

“We tried to provide an overview of the Gameplay and Possible graphics using Unreal Engine 5 And determine the level of expectations of us and the fans from the final version.” TeaserPlay says in the video’s description.

Remedy has already confirmed they are working on a remake of both Max Payne 1 and Max Payne 2 in a press release that was released back in April 2022. Remedy’s press release only revealed that the studio is in the “concept development stage” with no trailers or concept art. It is likely that the studio is now further along in the pre-production process.

However, it also confirmed that the remake will only be available for the Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC and will be running on the studio’s proprietary Northlight game engine.

Max Payne was released 11 years ago on PC and was famous for its iconic slow-motion gunfights. The game was well-received and its particularly gritty story helped it stand out.
