Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Collector’s Edition Contents Revealed; David Hayter Reveals New Mechanics and Improvements
Following our first look at Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater gameplay that looked just fantastic, Konami has today revealed the Collector’s Edition details which is available for pre-order now.
Before diving into the Collector’s Edition items, go watch the Metal Gear Solid Legacy Series Part 2 video featuring Snake voice actor David Hayter, as he explains some of the new mechanics and improvements coming to the remake. Hayter talks about key features such as the new damage system that leaves battle scars on the main character as players progress through the title. There’s also a “New Style” control and camera layout that offers a more intuitive control scheme for players who are used to modern third-person action games.

COLLECTOR’S EDITION ITEMS:
- The day one “Tactical Edition” of METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER
- Miniature terrarium based on the iconic opening scene of Virtuous Mission where Naked Snake must recover his backpack snagged on a tree branch. Includes miniature Naked Snake figurine and tree stump with hanging bag.
- A recreation of the fake identification badge Naked Snake uses to break into Groznyj Grad Northeast as a scientist.
- High-quality stitched patch showing membership in the legendary FOX UNIT.
- Unique rubber patch commemorating Naked Snake’s historic HALO parachute jump.
- Beautiful retro style metal game case utilizing original METAL GEAR SOLID 3: SNAKE EATER artwork.
Aside from the Collector’s Edition, there’s also a “Tactical Edition” that will include the game alongside “unique digital items” that will be revealed at a later date.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC with no release date set just yet, but rumors state that it’s coming out this year, which we think it will.
