While no official announcement has been made from Konami about the release dates for Silent Hill 2 Remake and Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater, PlayStation has apparently confirmed that both remakes will be coming sometime this year. 

In a recent video uploaded on PlayStation’s official YouTuber channel titled “Upcoming Games in 2024,” PlayStation has marked both Silent Hill 2 Remake and Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater (aka Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake) as titles planned to release this year. 

Both titles are listed on the 2024 upcoming PlayStation games editorial post, suggesting this wasn’t a mistake. That and Silent Hill 2 Remake will be timed exclusively for the PS5, so PlayStation is likely well aware of when it’s coming out. Metal Gear Solid Delta is multiplatform, though it wouldn’t be out of the question that PlayStation knows when it’ll be released, too. 

Still, nothing has been confirmed on Konami’s side, so we should take this as a rumor for now. 

It certainly would make for an insane year to see both remakes drop, as the originals are already considered amongst the bests in each series. Fingers crossed, we’ll get some official news from Konami on both these games real soon, and hopefully, a sooner release.
