Bloober Team may not be ready to show off more of the Silent Hill 2 Remake, but they did offer a small update on the project, assuring fans that development is going smoothly.

“As Bloober Team, we are proud to be a part of Konami’s plans for the Silent Hill franchise. Alongside our partner, we are diligently working to ensure the Silent Hill 2 remake attains the highest quality.
On behalf of our development team, we would like to clarify that the production is progressing smoothly and in accordance with our schedule. We understand that many players around the world are eagerly anticipating news about the game, and we appreciate your dedication.
However, we kindly ask for a bit more patience. Once Konami, as the game’s publisher, shares more information, we are confident that the wait will be worthwhile.
Thank you for your understanding and support!
– Blooder team”
The last major Silent Hills 2 Remake update we got on the title was 8 months ago when the studio said they were close to finishing, with the release date up to Konami. With Konami focus on other Silent Hill projects, such as Silent Hill Ascension and The Short Message, we suspect the publisher wants to get these projects out of the way before doing a major marketing push.
Could we see the game resurface during The Game Awards this year? One can hope.
Silent Hill 2 will be released on the PC, with timed console exclusivity for the PS5.
