Modern Warfare 2 Beta Is the Biggest Beta in Franchise History, Warzone Mobile Tops 15M Pre-Registrations

It looks like Infinity Ward has managed to grab the attention of gamers everywhere as the recently concluded Modern Warfare 2 beta is now officially the biggest beta in Call of Duty history!

This announcement was made by Activision, who claimed that the beta had the most players, the most hours played, and the most matches played across PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC!

However, no official numbers were shared, which is a bummer given we’d love to have seen some official MW2 beta stats.

In addition to that, Warzone Mobile seems to be one of the most anticipated mobile games of all-time too. Activision has announced that Warzone Mobile has already topped 15 million pre-registrations on Google Play!

The Call of Duty community has already made Warzone Mobile the fastest Activision, Blizzard and King mobile game to top 15 million pre-registrations on Google Play**.  As Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile continues to surpass pre-registration milestones, players, who pre-register before launch can now look forward to unlocking not only the Emblem: Dark Familiar and Vinyl: Foe’s Flame as well as the X12 Prince of Hell Blueprint and M4 – Archfiend Weapon Blueprints when the game launches next year. One more unrevealed reward awaits at 25 million pre-registrations (as shown above).

Outside of the two Call of Duty games, Warzone 2 is also set to launch in November 16 this year. For more on the MW2 beta, Infinity Ward shared feedback on what they’re looking into, which includes footsteps audio, enemy visibility and more

Go read our thoughts on the beta right here if you didn’t get a chance to play it.

Modern Warfare 2 launches this October 28 on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

I really wanted to play, but it crashed at the Demonware screen every single time for 5 days straight on the Xbox Series X. Guess no beta dlc for me *sad*
