Even if we’re on the cusp of a new year, Infinity Ward is still putting in work as the studio has rolled out a new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare playlist update today, and it brings in a few new playlists, and takes out some, too.
Chief among the omissions is the Shoot the Ship playlist that houses Shoot House, and the new map Shipment, into their own mosh pit of game modes. Replacing that is the familiar Shoot the House 24/7 playlist, as well as Grind, which replaces Drop Zone. Another game mode removed is Snowfight, which, in case you didn’t know, has players dishing out pain using snowballs!
– Grind is now live! (replaces Drop Zone)
– Shoot House 24/7 is back! (replaces Shoot the Ship)
– Removed Snowfight#ModernWarfare

We should be getting a new patch from Infinity Ward sometime this month, which should bring in gameplay tweaks, technical fixes and more.
While it is the holidays, there’s still a trickle of Modern Warfare news that came out! Check out how someone managed to pull off a Nuke in the game in just 29 seconds! If that’s not your bag, check out our ranking piece on the Call of Duty multiplayer for this decade, and where Modern Warfare ended up.
Are you bummed that Shoot the Ship is gone? Or did you find Shipment’s spawns too chaotic? Hopefully, we’ll get a close-quarters map playlist soon given the community’s love for grinder maps.
