If you’ve played Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s large-scale mode Ground War, then you no doubt, have been obliterated by tanks, given how they can sit on top of hills and other places, and just blast away. It seems a Modern Warfare tank nerf is incoming soon though, so that should change.
Over on Twitter, Co-Design Director of Multiplayer Joe Cecot agreed that they need to nerf tanks “a bit.”

While that’s good news, we’re not stopping there. If you’ve been playing a lot of multiplayer and noticed that some challenges and Officer Rank progression were not syncing or completing properly, these are known issues, and Infinity Ward Senior Communications Manager Ashton Williams confirmeed that they are testing it, and that they are working on a patch to fix it.
Working a patch that includes fixes for a good handful of challenges and officer progression bugs. No ETA on when it’ll go live, but it’s currently being tested. #ModernWarfare

Given how the latest patch doesn’t really nerf the 725 shotgun or the footsteps audio, let’s hope those are touched soon, too.
