Mortal Kombat 30th Anniversary Bundle Leaks via Amazon, but Don’t Get Excited Just Yet

mortal kombat 30th anniversary bundle

In case you didn’t know (and this will make you feel old), Mortal Kombat will be turning 30 this October 8! Yep, the video game franchise that popularized blood, decapitation, and scrotum-punches as a special move is really that old. With that major milestone, some might be hoping that we’ll get something bombastic to go along with it. Well, if this Mortal Kombat 30th Anniversary bundle from Amazon is anything to go by, don’t get your hopes up.

Amazon UK has the “Mortal Kombat 30th Anniversary Ultimate Bundle” listed for the PS5, and this lumps in MK11 and the Mortal Kombat 2021 film, and that’s basically it.

Of course, there is a chance that NetherRealm has more in the cards for the franchise’s big day, but if this is is, well, that won’t really cut it for franchise fans, I reckon. NetherRealm has not made any announcements just yet, but I refuse to believe that this “Ultimate Bundle” is all we’re getting — at least in terms of announcements. It’s too big of a milestone to pass up any major reveals. And when you factor in that NetherRealm has announced over a year ago that they have stopped development on Mortal Kombat 11 to focus on their next project…well, I’d like to think that means Mortal Kombat 12 or whatever’s next for the franchise will be revealed soon.

Whatever announcements are made or teased by NetherRealm, you can bet we’ll have it here on MP1st. Let’s just hope this bundle isn’t the only one we’re getting.
