During the Anime Expo, Bandai Namco unveiled the Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections story trailer which features an original story that is designed for the game’s two original characters, Nanashi and Merz.

Witness the perils that engulf Boruto and the heirs of the shinobi realm in the face of the Fifth Great Ninja War! Who are the two new characters that hold the key to this story…?

The story takes place during the events of Boruto. When the Ninja World is finally at peace, and Naruto is Hokage, Boruto discovers a popular online game, Ninja Heroes. Through the game, he meets Nanashi, a navigator. While Boruto is occupied with Nanashi, something unusual happened in the real world and the Fifth Great Ninja War is about to break out.

Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections is due for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC later this year.
