It’s been two weeks since we got our last major Battlefield V patch, and it seems we’re due for a new one this coming week! In a community update by DICE, DICE Community Manager Jeff Braddock announced that a new Battlefield 5 patch called Lightning Strikes Update #4 is set to roll out this coming week!

Sneak Peek into Next Week – Week of February 25th

  • Discussions – We’ll be hosting discussions on Reddit & the Forums to get your feedback.
    • Battlefield V Chapter 2: Lightning Strikes Update #4
    • Maps – Similar to this week’s Assignments & Missions discussion, we’ll be hosting a discussion on Battlefield V’s maps. As with this week, we’ll call out the top conversations we’ve tracked, but will dig in deeper on what type of maps you want to see, what needs work currently, and map styles (linear like Operation Metro – BF4 or wide-open like Heavy Metal – BFBC2, etc.)
  • DICE Friends
    • Starting next Tuesday, Feb 26th, we’ll open up nominations for Battlefield V DICE Friends. Community leaders, creators, folks who impact this community in a positive way by organizing events, contests, driving conversations – these are the folks that show they put the community to the forefront. We’ll have a survey link for you to nominate next week. The Nominations will close on March 5th. Get ready!

As you can read above, we’ll be getting the patch notes before the big patch drops, which will give players a lot of stuff to chew on before it’s out. We’re expecting this new Battlefield 5 patch to drop on a Tuesday, which is the usual schedule, and once it is, we’ll be sure to let people know.
