At the PlayStation Showcase today, Ascendant Studios and EA have revealed a new Immortals of Aveum gameplay trailer, featuring Jak as he takes on a variety of foes in his struggle to defend Lucium. Aided by the Order of the Immortals, Jak faces powerful villains including Sandrakk, the Tyrant of Rasharn, his terrifying champion known only as “The Hand,” and the Morbane, an Oathbroken of Kalthus who now serves Sandrakk.

The new Immortals of Aveum gameplay trailer shows off combat against the game’s multiple enemy types, including the dominating Brutes, the worm-like Leylodons, the rogue Chronicler constructs, and the massive winged Howlers. Jak also attempts to combat Sandrakk in the trailer (who is revealed to have been responsible for the death of his family), but is stopped by The Hand, who unleashes an assault on Jak for attempting to harm her master. The trailer also shows off different in-game environments including portions of Kalthus, the Pale Forest, the Underwell, and the Library of Akoth.
