New Sony State of Play Set for This Week

playstation surprise

With Sony confirming it won’t be attending E3 this year, the company has decided to take a page out of Nintendo’s playbook and has instead started what it calls the “State of Play,” which are smaller, pre-made video shows that talks about upcoming games and so on.

While we had the first State of Play kick off in March, a new Sony State of Play has just been announced! In a press release, Sony has announced that a new State of Play is set for this May 9, at 10 p.m. EDT (May 10, 6 a.m. Hong Kong time)! It’ll be a quick one, with the presser stating that it’ll only be 15 minutes long, though there are some “PS4 update” included in teh show.

Sony has also mentioned that expect the new Sony State of Play set for this week to talk about the PS5 at all. To quote the press release, “Don’t expect any updates relating to our next-generation plans this time. Sorry!”

Same as before, people can watch it on Twitch, YouTube, Facebook and other social media platforms. We’ll, of course, have it up a few minutes before it airs.
