New Witcher Game Nears Its Full Production Phase
The pre-production on the new Witcher game, currently codenamed Project Polaris, seems to be going smoothly as a recent update from CD Projekt RED has confirmed that they’ll soon be entering into full production.
In a post shared by the studio reflecting on the first half of 2024, CD Projekt Red has confirmed that Project Polaris will soon enter full production.
– Work on Polaris is progressing – its development team is nearing a major milestone which will mark the end of the preproduction phase. The first half of the year was also a busy period for our Boston st – a new game set in the Cyberpunk universe – says Michał Nowakowski, Joint CEO of CD PROJEKT.
With nearly all of CD Projekt Red now working on the new Witcher game since development ended on Cyberpunk 2077 this past May, this news should come as no surprise. The title itself is still, of course, a way out, with us predicting at least two to three years before we have anything major, though small teasers and a proper title reveal are expected to come prior.
Little much is known about the title, though the voice actor of the series’ lead character did comment recently that Geralt wouldn’t be the lead this time around but would still be in it in some capacity.
