During this year’s Gamescom in Cologne Germany, Sony took the stage to announce, at last, the official release date of their next-generation hardware, the PlayStation 4.
According to Sony’s Andrew House, the PlayStation 4 will release in North America on November 15 for $399. Overseas, the European market will be looking at a November 29 release date, two weeks later.
Already, the console is seeing over one million preorders world wide. By the end of the Holiday season, the PlayStation 4 will be available in 32 countries.
Also announced during Sony’s presentation was that the popular sandbox hit Minecraft, which has already seen mass success on the PC, Xbox 360, and soon, the Xbox One, would be making its way to the PlayStation 4 at launch as well.
