PlayStation’s London Studio revealed that they are working on an untitled fantasy co-op combat game set in a fantasy London. The studio heads have shared a concept art (posted above) to help set the tone of the game.

Speaking to GamesIndustry, co-studio head Stuart Whyte talked about the studio wanting to “try something a little bit different, and I think this new project really channels our ‘brave’ value and allows us to push ourselves on the ‘curious’ front, too. It’s an exciting future, it really is.”

Tara Saunders, the other co-studio head revealed that the upcoming title is being built using the Soho Engine specifically for the PS5. She also told that this is Sony London Studio’s most ambitious game to date.

Saunders goes on to explain the concept art, saying “our overarching theme is about bringing fantastical and magical elements and intersecting that with familiar worlds, and you don’t get much more familiar to us than London.”

London Studio’s untitled fantasy game will take full advantage of the PS5, however, Saunders reveals that some of the tools they are using date back to the tech they used on their PS4 VR title, Blood and Truth. That is the case because VR games have super-efficient engines as explained by Saunders.

This seems to be one of the ten live service titles Sony plans on releasing by 2026. While we won’t know for a while what the project is about, the concept art that has been revealed is definitely interesting.
