Team Ninja is all set to hit their March release date as the studio confirmed today that Nioh 2 has finally wrapped development, reaching its gold release status.

Revealed via Twitter, Team Ninja announced that the PlayStation 4 exclusive, Nioh 2, has finally gone gold, eliminating any possible concern for a delay. The title will officially be available on March 13, exclusively for the PlayStation 4.

While going “Gold” does mean that the team has a finished product that is ready to be printed on retail discs, it should be noted that their work on the title isn’t exactly done. Outside of the planned DLC, we can expect from the time now and up until release (and after), Team Ninja will continue to work on polishing out any bugs they may find, along with performance boosts and balancing issues. Chances are, we are in for a sizable day one patch upon release.
