Aside from the PS5 system patch released today, Sony has also released PS4 update 11.02, and as one might expect, this doesn’t add anything significant in terms of features. Read on for what’s new in the PS4 system update patch notes for December 6.
PS4 Update 11.02 Patch Notes:
Per the console’s system update history:
- We’ve made some security fixes to the system software.
- We’ve improved system software performance and stability.
- We’ve improved the messages and usability on some screens
That’s about it. As one might expect since we’re deep in the PS5’s lifecycle, the PS4 most likely won’t be getting any new features.

Yeah… This update keeps giving me an error SU-42118_6. I cant play online anymore, nor watch tv
I have also been experiencing these pesty inconveniences, I believe that they have silently shut down the servers. I say this because Playstation mainly wants to focus on its new PS5 console. I hope Playstation dissects these errors. Hopefully, our PS4 community will be able to play again.

Just got a PS4 for my 9 yr old nephew that I am raising. It’s all he wanted for his birthday and this update has basically screwed his present up. Won’t let me do anything because I can’t log in or make a new login without doing the update first. Which I have gone through all the fixes I’ve seen online and yet it still persists. Thanks Sony for killing a 9 yr olds happiness
