Report: Battlefield 6 Season 5 Heads to Vegas, Dead Space & Medal of Honor Collabs, Weapons Leak
It’s been two months since DICE and the rest of the Battlefield Studios team kicked off Season 4. While we did get a Top Gun collaboration event mid-season, it’s understandable that players are already looking forward to the next season.
Not only are we expecting a deluge of new content in Season 5, but the developers themselves confirmed this new season will see the rollout of the highly-requested server browser and more.
Publisher Electronic Arts isn’t ready to talk yet, but thankfully, we don’t need to wait, as a slew of info has surfaced about BF6’s last seasonal content drop of the year.
Before diving in, take note that the info comes from datamining and is in no way official. Got that? Good.
Battlefield 6 Season 5 Heads to Nevada
Thanks to super-reliable Battlefield dataminer temporyal, info about Season 5 has been unearthed. Based on what’s been dug up on Battlefield Labs, it confirms the popular theory that the three Season 5 maps will be set in Nevada.
The codenames for each map and their corresponding locations are as follows:
- Vegas Strip (Paradise)\
- Area 51 (Drylake)
- European Casino (Dough) – Theorized to be the Venetian
Not only that, but it seems Season 5’s upcoming Halloween event details have surfaced as well. It’s said to be taking place on the Area 51 map, where players will also see new cosmetics related to Dead Space! This isn’t out of pocket, as we’ve seen a Dead Space collab for Battlefield 2042 before.
There are 36 unreleased soldier skins pictured below, and it also confirms a collab with the Medal of Honor franchise.
In addition to that, more unreleased content found in the game’s files have been spotted mentioning new Levolution entries for the Season 5 maps, and a lot more! This even includes 55 new weapon skins that might (or might not) be released as part of Season 5’s various challenges, rewards, and whatnot.
Info spotted:
- Levolution entries for all Season 5 maps
- Portal Maps: Mount Whitney & Ocean
- New Operation: Area 51 & Vegas Strip
- Thermal Sight for Secondaries
There’s also new info on REDSEC Season 5, as it’s been unearthed that there will be a Rapid Royale mode incoming too.
It’s said to be “A fast BR on Battlefield 6 maps, like Vegas Strip.”
- Kills and crates earn Redeploy Tokens
- Over time: fewer tokens, more kills each
- Airdrops carry custom weapons and gear
A squad wipe with no tokens left means elimination
Needless to say, given this is unofficial info, take everything with a grain of salt, and while temporyal is super-reliable, things could change, and not everything in the game’s files are always used.
We don’t need to wait long until Season 5 info drops, as chances are, EA and DICE will be teasing it before the month is out. Once we know more about it, we’ll let our readers know.
In case you’re wondering whether BF6 will see a Season 6 next year, it’s already confirmed that seasonal support will continue past Season 5, though there are no plans for a rent-a-server feature.
