Bloodborne PS5 Version

While Sony hasn’t been gun shy in releasing remakes, remasters and the like, there is one game that fans have been clamoring for the company to remaster and that’s FromSoftware’s Bloodborne. Well, if this recent PlayStation Stars listing is the real deal, the long-coveted Bloodborne PS5 version might be something that’s actually happening.

On PlayStation Stars, there’s a listing for the PS5 version of Bloodborne (via DarahOG):

Of course, there is the chance that this is an error on Sony’s part, but even so, anything Bloodborne-related will surely rile up the player base. We’ve contacted Sony about this, and will update the story if we hear anything back..

For those not familiar with PlayStation Stars, here’s what the program is about (per Sony):

What is PlayStation Stars?

By joining PlayStation Stars, you can use your gaming skills to collect unique digital collectibles and earn rewards. Complete campaigns, earn points and show off your collectibles in a digital display case on PlayStation App as a way of celebrating your love of play and PlayStation experiences.

Bloodborne, which was released on the PS4 in 2015, was developed by FromSoftware Inc. and quickly grew to become one of the –if not the most — popular games made by the studio, and is even widely considered to be their best work. After the initial release, it got a massive expansion titled The Old Hunters, which was received quite well by fans and critics alike. Since then, Bloodborne has gotten a card game and even a comic book series, but not a remaster or remake. Could this finally be it? I highly doubt it, to be honest. If I had to hazard a guess, Sony will prep the Bloodborne remaster/remake in time for release for the PS6, which would make the impact bigger, and assure the new console a bonafide hit as part of its gaming library right from the get-go.

Two years ago, the game went down for a while for server maintenance, which got people excited since they thought a title update would be rolled out. Sadly, nothing came out of it.
