Report: DICE Rolls Out Hidden Battlefield 2042 Weapon Changes in Patch 4.1

Hidden Battleifeld 2042 Weapon Changes

Just a few weeks ago, DICE released patch 4.1 for Battlefield 2042, which included quite a number of gameplay-related improvements, gameplay-related tweaks and more. While the patch notes is packed with changes, it seems DICE didn’t include everything it changed, as a ton of hidden Battlefield 2042 weapon changes have been unearthed by players and members of the community!

Spotted (with evidence) by YouTuber EndersFPS, he says there are “potentially hundreds of changes” to the weapons ranging from damage drop off, damage amount, damage ranges and more! Reliable game data site sym.gg corrborated the hidden Battlefield 2042 weapon changes, as they not only announced it, but even provided comparisons for some of the weapons!

You can check out more data regarding the comparison at sym.gg, which is very extensive, or go check out EndersFPS’s video below to hear and see more about it.

What’s odd here is, why would DICE do this in the first place? Given this day and age, and how knowledgeable people are in sifting through data, this is something that will not go unnoticed. I mean, these are massive changes, and it’s odd they’d leave it out of the patch notes entirely. Hopefully, we’ll hear of an explanation at some point regarding this, and we won’t see it happen again (since it’s hard and annoying to guess what got changed in terms of weapon values).

The next patch for Battlefield 2042 is due in “early June” and that’s when Season 1 (finally) kicks off. Here’s a quick preview of some of the content and changes incoming.
