In a big leak that happened earlier today, What’s alleged as the first footage for Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) has apparently leaked, and there’s tons of it along with screenshots too.

A GTAForums user named teapotuberhacker has uploaded a zip file that lists screenshots and videos taking a look at early development from Grand Theft Auto 6. It shows a female protagonist, which is in line with a rumor that surfaced in July via the ever-reliable Jason Schreier.

Speaking of which, Schreier has acknowledged that the footage that has leaked is likely to be the real deal.

Apparently, this massive GTA 6 leak was obtained via the Rockstar Games Slack, which was the same way the Uber hack that happened a few days ago. You can even hear some Slack message notifications going off in some of the footage.

Same as with any other leak, treat this one with a grain of salt. That said, this does seem like the real deal. That said, go check it out, as these will most likely be taken down by Rockstar’s legal hounds ASAP.

We have reached out to Rockstar to seek further clarification on the authenticity of this massive leak, and will update the story if we get a response.

Update: Jason Schreier has mentioned that he has confirmed with Rockstar sources that this GTA 6 leak is legit. I gather, this is the most official confirmation we’ll get until Rockstar issues a proper statement this coming week.

Update: (Editor’s note: the post has been updated for clarity and cohesion).

Update 2: As expected, Rockstar has taken down the footage. We’ve updated it with more from the community.
