Enotria: The Last Song, an Italian Soulslike RPG, recently announced an indefinite delay for its Xbox Series X|S release, citing Microsoft’s communication failures as a key reason. Reports now indicate that Microsoft has issued an apology for the breakdown in communication that led to this delay.

In a message shared on the Enotria: The Last Song Discord server, CEO Jacky Greco of Jyamma Games said:

They contacted us and said sorry about the situation, we’re trying to solve everything as soon as possible. We will tell more to community asap

Previously, the developer behind Enotria: The Last Song revealed that the lack of communication from Microsoft forced them to delay the game’s release on Xbox. Despite their efforts to reach out, Microsoft had ignored their queries for two months, leaving Jyamma Games with no choice but to postpone the game on the platform.

Additionally, Jyamma Games announced in March that Enotria would not launch on Xbox at the same time as other platforms to focus on creating “a superior experience for PC and PS5 players.” However, two months later, the studio changed its plans and pushed the launch from August to September, bringing the Xbox version back into consideration.

Other studios have also faced issues releasing their games on Xbox. Funcom CPO Scott Junior recently told VG247 that they’ve had optimization issues with the Xbox Series S version of Dune: Awakening. Larian Studios also previously encountered technical issues while porting Baldur’s Gate 3 to Series S, which forced them to push back the game’s release on the platform.

Despite these setbacks, Enotria: The Last Song is set to launch on September 19 for PS5 and PC.

“Please feel sorry for me in my gaming t-shirt and multi millions salary. We promise this time to do better and will never screw up like this ever again and will most certaindefinitely learn from this”.

Something like that from slimy Phil?
