Resident Evil Requiem Leaked Key Art on PSN Store Accidentally Confirms Leon’s Inclusion
It seems the mystery of whether Leon S. Kennedy will or will not be in Resident Evil Requiem can finally be put to rest, as the PlayStation Store itself has accidentally leaked the character’s involvement in the upcoming horror game.
While not an official announcement by Capcom, Leon appearing in a PSN Store listing for RE Requiem is all but seals the deal.
Make no mistake about it, it’s Leon, though one that looks a lot older, and gruffier.
Resident Evil Requiem Will Feature Leon as Confirmed by PSN Store Leak
For people who have the Standard Edition of Resident Evil Requiem on PS5, you’ll be able to see this cover of Grace and Leon if you try and schedule pre-loading the client. The image comes from Bluewav on YouTube, whom known horror game leaker DuskGolem has shared an image of as well:
If that’s not good enough for you, here’s a higher-res image of it:
Yep, that’s Leon, alright! He looks way older in this one, which is understandable given the timeline Requiem is set in.This puts to rest months of speculation, and how Capcom devs even mentioned how Leon is a “bad match for horror” and all that.
Chances are, this reveal was set for The Game Awards, since Capcom did confirm the game will have a presence there. Most likley, a new trailer featuring Leon would be presented, though the cat’s out of the bag now.
There are a lot of questions left unanswered about Requiem, but at the very least, gamers can rest easy knowing Leon S. Kennedy is on the case.
