Resident Evil RE:Verse Delayed, Won’t Launch With RE Village

Resident Evil RE:Verse

Those looking to playing some more Resident Evil via multiplayer will be sorely disappointed to hear this news, as Resident Evil RE:Verse will not launch alongside Resident Evil Village as confirmed by Capcom.

The multiplayer game was set to be released as a freebie for those who bought the latest installment in the Resident Evil franchise — but has been delayed to an indefinite time instead with no new release window given yet.

Re:Verse will be available free for owners of Resident Evil Village, which will be released on May 7 for PS5PS4Xbox Series X/SXbox OnePC and Stadia.

It had been assumed by some players that the games would launch simultaneously, but a Capcom PR representative told VGC on Tuesday that a Resident Evil Re:Verse launch window had not actually previously been communicated.

With less than two weeks to go before RE Village hits, the new demo coming this weekend has been extended to one week.
